Need a good elliptical machine that doesn’t take up a lot of space? Well, if you want something like this for your home gym, then I suggest that you consider the Exerpeutic 5000 Magnetic Elliptical Trainer. It is a very compact elliptical machine that is perfect for small spaces.
If you do a little comparison shopping, then you will notice that there are a handful of other brands out there that make a similar machine to this one. However, I believe that this is the best of the bunch. It has a good price and a lot of features packed into it. So, you don’t have to spend a fortune for the bells and whistles, plus you get something that works well in small spaces.
Where to buy:
One of the worst things about this small elliptical is that it only has a weight limit of 270 pounds. That is not a lot, so this machine won’t worry for heavier people or even bigger guys who are not obese but just over the weight limit.
But if you do meet the weight limit, then you get a lot for your money with the Exerpeutic 5000 Magnetic Elliptical Trainer. It has this cool gel padded area for your phone, which is something you don’t see very often. And you’ll definitely want to use it because the elliptical has Bluetooth capabilities so that you can use the mobile tracking app MyCloudFitness to keep up with your stats from your workout sessions on the elliptical machine.
The Exerpeutic 5000 elliptical machine has an 18-inch stride, which is pretty good for most people. However, if you are anywhere close to 6-foot tall or more, then you will want something with a bigger stride. Otherwise, you just won’t get a proper workout from the machine.
I do want to point out that the Exerpeutic 5000 home elliptical trainer has dual action handlebars. This is important to note because it means that your arms will get a workout at the same time as your legs. Not all of these types of machines offer this type of full body workout.
While it might seem surprising for such a compact elliptical machine, this one does have an on-board computer with LCD screen. It keeps track of your workout progress and has 12 different programs that you can use for your exercise session.
And, part of the base has wheels so that you can easily roll it around your condo or apartment if you want to store it out of the way when it’s not in use. The whole machine itself weighs less than 85 pounds, so rolling it on the wheels is easy enough for pretty much anyone.
Putting this thing together does take a little time, so be sure to give yourself a couple of hours. You definitely do not want to rush through it.
Once you get it all setup, keep in mind that this is an elliptical machine that you can pedal backwards on. I prefer machines with this capability as it gives your legs a little bit of a different workout, which is nice. And also note that is is fairly quiet when in use, so you don’t have to worry about waking up any family members if you want to use it first thing in the morning.
